On the weekend of October 26th, ĢƵ celebrated Owls Fest, and the inauguration of the 10th President, Wendy Cadge. Sarah Spielman, a PhD student in Physics, served as the graduate student representative and gave a speech at the inauguration. Her speech focused on the respectful, open, and positive learning environment that ĢƵ fosters. “ĢƵ has given me confidence in my abilities and in my identity as a physicist, and I know these are things I’ll carry with me even after I graduate,” Sarah said during her speech.
